· Thank you to all of the 700 Club members who showed their support by participating in the annual BBQ Singles Tournament held at Bel-Air Bowl in Belleville, IL.
· Congratulations to John Flanagan for his winning 5-game total of 1288. Kudos to Matt Cleveland for posting the high game of the tournament, a perfect 300 game!
· The 700 Club would like to welcome the new officers for the 2011-2012 bowling season.

Sign up a new member and be entered into a
drawing to win $250 at next year’s BBQ Tournament. You will receive one entry
for each new member you recruit to join.
·
Please note, personal
checks will be accepted for entry fees into our tournaments. If you cash in the
tournament and your prize money is sufficient enough to cover your check, you
will be expected to buy your check back. Checks returned for insufficient funds
will incur a $25 fee and be given 5 days to re-clear. The second time a check
is returned, your check writing privileges will be permanently revoked.
· For tournaments, the following rules will be in effect and enforced:
o Practice starts at 9:15am sharp
o Scoring starts at 9:30am sharp
o Phone-in and mail-in entries will be $40 for each tournament
o Walk-in entries will be $45 and are subject to lane availability
o
The last place payout will be equal to the prize
fund portion of the entry fee, which is $25 of the $40 entry fee.

We will try to run a singles event in
conjunction with the doubles and three-man tournaments. There will be a $25
entry fee, of which $5 goes to the scholarship fund.
·
There is another change for the doubles and
three-man events. You may now compete with the same partner(s) in both shifts,
but you may only cash once in the tournament. You may cash more than once with
a separate partner. We are hoping these changes will increase tournament
entries.
· Our annual meeting went very well and we came out of it with many ideas to increase membership. Thanks again to those of you who attended, and we look forward to seeing all of you in upcoming events!
